9.2 Tier and Alts
TIER SETS
With the release of The Sepulcher of the First Ones, Blizzard are bringing back tier sets. These will be on the slots; Helm, Shoulders, Chest, Legs and Gloves. For the first time ever these items will be craft able starting with one piece in Week 8 and ramping up as the patch continues. This provides a fantastic opportunity for Alts to catch up on tier later in the patch, with the added benefit of being able to pre-emptively collect pieces prior to the system becoming available.

Tier sets represent a huge spike in player power upon reaching 2 set and 4 set bonus. Through gradual effort spent on Alts, there is a potential for players to receive these 4 sets relatively quickly as "The Creation Catalyst" becomes unlocked.
MINIMAL EFFORT, MAXIMUM REWARD
To prepare for the Creation Catalyst unlocking, players should aim to complete 1 or 4 M+ Dungeons at a level of 10 or higher. This will essentially be equivalent to Heroic raid Tier levels. For players looking to maximise their chance, completing rated PvP events will add additional slots in the weekly vault. It seems likely that by completing at least 4 M+ each week on an alt, there is a very high chance of having 2-3 pieces of tier by the time the Creation Catalyst becomes available.

Combine this with the double legendaries that will be available and you will find that your alts will be relatively comparable to a character that has completed the raid for the first 8 weeks, the added advantage of obtaining tier through M+ is the ability to upgrade once reaching Keystone Master (Approximately timed level 15 Keystone in Tyrannical and Fortified versions of each of the 10 Dungeons) to an item level of 272.
